  • Prof. (Dr) P. G. S. Amila Jayarathne is a Professor in Marketing attached to the SLIIT Business School as a Sabbatical Scholar. She is a Professor in Marketing permanently attached to the Department of Marketing Management, Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce, University of Sri Jayewardenepura. She was the former Head of Department, Department of Marketing Management. She obtained her Batcher’s degree from the Department of Marketing Management, University of Sri Jayewardenepura, and Master in Policy Studies from Japan, and her MSc in Management (specializing in Marketing)  from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura. She obtained her Ph.D. at the Nottingham University Business School in the UK. She is an ADB scholar (Japan in 2005), a Commonwealth scholar (UK in 2008), and a Fellowship receiver (Monash – Australia in 2018).
  • Her research interests are mainly supply chain management, behavioral studies, digitalization, and sustainability. She has published in several international conferences and in high-ranked (A*) indexed journals, including the International Journal of Operations and Production Management and Production Planning and Control. She is also a reviewer for two A* journals. She has been awarded several times for her outstanding research performance locally and internationally.
  • She was the co-editor-in-chief for the Vidyodaya Journal of Management, which is the official journal of the Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce. Currently, she is severing as the chief editor of the Asian Journal of Marketing Management published by the Department of Marketing Management, University of Sri Jayewardenepura, and a senior editor of the South Asian Journal of Marketing Management, published by Emerald Publishers.
