  • Suren Peter is a professor attached to the SLIIT Business School, Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology, Malabe, Sri Lanka.
  • Prior to joining SLIIT, he was attached to the Department of Industrial Management, University of Kelaniya, having commenced his academic career in 1993. He served two stints as Head, Department of Industrial Management in 2001 and in 2019, served as the Postgraduate Course Coordinator for the Masters programme, Programme Reviewer for Quality Assurance Accreditation Council of the UGC, Conference Chair of the inaugural SCSE international conference, Chief Editor, Editorial Board member and reviewer for international and local journals and conferences.
  • He has served and is currently serving on the Board of Directors of a number of private corporates and Chairs a number of sub committees as well. He has served as a consultant with UNIDO/UNDP and for several local corporates and government bodies. He holds IEEE membership and is certified by the Sri Lanka Institute of Directors.
  • His research interests are in capital markets, corporate finance, behavioral finance, Privatization and corporate restructuring, portfolio management and learning.
