About
The Programme
The degree programme allows students to develop core economic skills through a set of compulsory courses. Then students will study either econometrics or how economics shapes areas such as public policy, business and industry, trade and the environment. When students graduate, they would be able to work as an analyst, adviser, consultant, economist or researcher in a huge range of industries. Graduates with the Bachelor of Economics degree would be able to gain career opportunities in areas including consulting, infrastructure, environmental management, international finance, investment and trade, natural resources, health, treasury and statistics.

Entry Requirements
Minimum 3 āSā passes in G.C.E A/L (Sri Lanka) or a minimum 3 āDā passes in G.C.E A/L Cambridge or Edexcel (in any subject stream) in one and the same sitting, and a pass at the Aptitude Test conducted by NorthernUNI

Course Fee
The fee is presently USD 1,486 per semester. Fees for any subsequent semester should be paid prior to the commencement of each semester. This all-inclusive fee is charged to cover lectures, tutorials and examinations and access to computer laboratory facilities and library.
To make the payment, please credit the fees to Account No. 1630552 at the Bank of Ceylon, in favour of the Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology. payments can be made at the Bank of Ceylon Kollupitiya Branch, located on the first floor of the BoC Merchant Tower Building, or at any branch of the Bank of Ceylon. Alternatively, you can also credit the fees to Account No. 00 399 0000033 at any branch of Sampath Bank.
Normally, fees paid will not be refunded. However, requests for refund of fees may be considered if made before expiry of one week from the date of commencement of lectures for each semester. The date of commencement of lectures for the new applicants will be the date of commencement of lectures of the Orientation Programme. The refund, if made will be subject to a deduction of ten percent of the fee paid.
