The Programme

University of Queensland is one of the top universities in the world with a QS world ranking of 50. Mechatronic engineers are highly sought after for roles involving artificial intelligence systems, robotics, automated industrial machinery and avionics. Mechatronic engineers are expected to play a significant role in the fourth industrial revolution. In mechatronic engineering you’ll explore concepts and practical applications in areas including artificial intelligence, signal and systems theory, and control theory. This knowledge will also be integrated with computer science as you learn how mechanical and electrical components work together.

Entry Requirements

Minimum of two “C” passes and one “S” pass in GCE Advanced Level (Local) in the Physical Science Stream (Combined Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry) in one and the same sitting and a pass at the Aptitude test conducted by SLIIT
OR
Minimum of two “B” passes and one “C” pass in GCE Advanced Level (Cambridge or Edexcel) covering Combined Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry in one and the same sitting and a pass at the Aptitude test conducted by SLIIT.

Course Fee

The fee is presently USD 1,850 per semester. Fees for any subsequent semester should be paid prior to the commencement of each semester. This all-inclusive fee is charged to cover lectures, tutorials and examinations and access to computer laboratory facilities and library.

To make the payment, please credit the fees to Account No. 1630552 at the Bank of Ceylon, in favour of the Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology. payments can be made at the Bank of Ceylon Kollupitiya Branch, located on the first floor of the BoC Merchant Tower Building, or at any branch of the Bank of Ceylon. Alternatively, you can also credit the fees to Account No. 00 399 0000033 at any branch of Sampath Bank.
 

Normally, fees paid will not be refunded. However, requests for refund of fees may be considered if made before expiry of one week from the date of commencement of lectures for each semester. The date of commencement of lectures for the new applicants will be the date of commencement of lectures of the Orientation Programme. The refund, if made will be subject to a deduction of ten percent of the fee paid.
